To be interested in art is good, but just beeing interested is enough. Vienna’s museums and collections offer a variety for every taste . It’s your decision how thoroughly you want to look into – I can offer you a quick overview of the location of your choice as well as a detailed accompaniment. The Museum of Art History (KHM) – The Picture Gallery
In place we expect one of the largest and most important collections of the Habsburg dynasty . With an impressive emphasis on Venetian painting of the 16th Century, the Flemish painting of the 17th Century and German Renaissance masters.

The Museum of Art History (KHM) – The Kunstkammer
Cabinet of wonder, collection of curiosities and oddities– for the first time in over 30 years the Kunstkammer makes those treasures accessible again, which had been collected and promoted by the sovereigns of the Danube Monarchy over centuries . Around the prominent centerpiece of the collection – the „Saliera“ by Benvenuto Cellini – we admire sophisticated automatons, cut stones and unique figurines, marvels, gems and many more.

The Austrian Gallery at the Upper Belvedere
At the former summer residence of Prince Eugene, in the meanwhile located in one of the best (look-out) sites in the middle of the fourth district of Vienna, the most important collection of paintings by the imcomparable Art Nouveau painter Gustav Klimt is arranged . The collection also includes numerous important manifestos of Austrian art ranging from the Middle Ages to the present age – a „must-see“.

Leopold Museum
Plain and simple, the Leopold Museum offers the world’s largest collection of original works of Egon Schiele, which is the basis of the art collection of Prof . Leopold and his wife. Art enthusiasts can find many more documentation of artistic production of Vienna from 1900 to the most recent past.

Albertina
In the midst of town one can admire the Collection Batliner at the Albertina Palais . It is one of the most important European private collection of international classic modernism – from Monet to Picasso.

The Treasury
European history at its best: The treasury houses secular and sacred gems such as the imperial treasure of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, as well as numerous insignia and relics . And thus offers a unique panorama over more than 1000 years of history.

The Mozarthouse
Let’s visit the only remaining apartment of Mozart in Vienna . Where on three levels the „Viennese years“ of this exceptional genius are documented and his most important musical works are presented.

MAK – Museum of Applied Art
Like hardly any other institution the MAK is connecting applied art, design, architecture and contemporary art in one of the most beautiful buildings on the Ringstrasse . The modern designed exhibitions range from oriental carpets to handicrafts of the Wiener Werkstätten and the world-famous Thonet bentwood furniture.

Kunsthaus Vienna & Hundertwasser Museum
You love him or reject him – it is a fact that the cityscape as well as the recent art history has been affected by the all-rounder Friedensreich Hundertwasser . At the Hundertwasserhaus – a residential and art-house, designed by him, we will see the width of the oeuvre of this exceptional artist, who created by the way also the Vienna incinerator, an excursion boat and countless artworks.
